Our Baby Snuggle Bug Is Here

Getting up at 4:20am was difficult. My anxiety was building, causing nausea all morning. By 8am I was on the operating table and ready for a 5th cesarean delivery. I was relieved that it was the fastest and least painful of all 5, and without any complications. Eddie was born a healthy 8lbs 11oz and 21.5" long.

We spent the rest of the day getting to know our precious little guy. You can never kiss a baby too much, especially this one. He's quite a looker, just like his Daddy! Tom is certainly enamored with him, as am I.

The next day we introduced him to his brothers and sisters who absolutely adore him. As well as family visitors, including the grandparents, an aunt and an uncle. Auntie Annaleah was anxious to hold him, her being just a few months pregnant with her first!  It was fun to have that overlap of sister pregnancies.

It took Jonathan the longest to adjust to this little baby in Daddy's arms. But now well acquainted, they're best buds for life.

It was hard to say goodbye to the kids for a few more days. It certainly was much quieter after everyone left, but we were amazed at how much we missed the noise. We sent every visitor home with a treat bag, and they left us with some special gifts and wonderful room decorations!

Recovery was quick and it was time to go home the morning of day 4. So far, he's a good traveling buddy not making a peep under his car seat canopy. I only took a few dozen pictures.

We know life would not be as sweet without him here.

Welcome to our crazy world Eddie! We love you so much!
