First Communion Ideas

regular_first-communion

First Holy Communion is such a special time in a child's faith journey. It's important that we as parents make it a memorable occasion by preparing them with the right books, picking the right outfit, planning the celebration, and taking them to Mass as often as possible. Here are some ideas to inspire you make it the best and first of many times they'll receive Jesus in the Eucharist.

  1. Wow, that's a great post!!! Katherine was excited to see you reading the same book we are reading, we're almost done, Blessed Imelda.

You are so talented, your cake is beautiful!! (and sounds delicious!) I'll just order from Sam's Club, $18 Those invites were beautiful!

We are off to find white shoes today (Katherine makes her FHC in 2 weeks) I'm looking for something she will wear all summer though, for Sundays, white sandals or white flats.

We just practiced her hair on Thursday and it turned out soooo cute, my veil is a little big, but she loves it and it's still pretty. My veil will not work for Clare when she makes hers, she's totally a different style of gal!!

No special foods, just a turkey dinner. It will be hard enough for me getting everyone ready and dinner ready and out the door by 9:30am!!!

    Great post Melissa!
